The Master of Public Health is a STEM certified program.
Public health promotes, protects, and improves the health of people and their communities.
A Master of Public Health (MPH) will open the door to a wide range of meaningful public health careers.
Public Health is a rapidly growing field with continued projected job growth. The need to train future Public Health professionals is critical.
At Thomas More, the MPH program will prepare you for a public health career by equipping you with skills
in a wide range of areas needed to address complex and ever-changing public health challenges.
You will learn about a wide range of health topics such as climate change, educational disparities, poverty, racial inequalities,
health justice, chronic diseases, physical activity, air pollution, maternal/child health and much more.
Learning is enriched by internship/practicum experiences and an individualized research project.
Our program is a professional graduate degree that is designed to meet the needs of professionals seeking educational advancement as well as recent college graduates.
Current and future health professionals in medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, or public health will find that the
MPH degree provides them with a broader perspective and additional skills to complement their primary discipline.

We offer the MPH Generalist track which allows more flexibility to gain broad in-depth knowledge of public health while customizing elective coursework to your professional and/or research interests.
- Program Flexibility: The MPH program is tailored to your individual needs through a combination of face to face/hybrid and distance learning courses, offering professional and personal flexibility.
- Career Preparedness: You will gain public health leadership skills and network with professionals from a variety of public health professions. Through internship/practicum experiences, you will get direct real-world public health career experience.

Graduates of TMU’s MPH program will be uniquely prepared for numerous careers in the growing field of public health. Students are likely to find employment working in public health areas such as healthcare management or leadership, health and wellness promotion, health education, community activism, environmental health, health behavior, health communication, global health, public health policy, health research, data analytics, bioinformatics, and epidemiology among others.

You will find the instructions for ordering transcripts on the other school’s registrar webpage.
3. Submit your current resume and a 1-2 page statement of purpose to [email protected].
Your statement of purpose should explain your academic and professional experience, your interest in the field of public health,
and your goals for your successful participation in our Master of Public Health program.
4. Request two letters of recommendation from a teacher, employer, or other non-relative who can speak knowledgeably of your readiness for graduate study.
